Interfaith week is an annual event which aims to bring understanding and friendship between all of us.  The Co-Chairs of the Inter Faith Network for the UK explain;

“In all the nations of the UK this coming Week an amazing array of events will be taking place to showcase the way in which faith and belief groups are making their contribution to the wellbeing of their areas and to strengthen inter faith understanding and cooperation. The Inter Faith Network for the UK works year round, with its member bodies and others, to promote good inter faith relations. However, this annual Week helps to shine a light on this ever more vital area of activity that both enriches us and helps us live well together as a society.”

Inter Faith Week in Northampton began with Northampton Inter Faith Forum members attending the Chief Constable's Supper.  Vice Chair, Carol Parker, was given the opportunity to address the audience and explain about NIFF's work. We also had an information stand and made new contacts.

The week continued with an interfaith walk, with members of Northampton Inter Faith Forum joining East Northants Inter Faith Group.  A Cake and Debate evening discussed Does Faith Unite or Divide? and NIFF committee members once again joined the Langar Seva, served by the Sikh Community every Sunday evening, to provide hot meals to anyone who is homeless or vulnerable.
